Got a quick question, it prolly has been beat to death, but i have an 07 stock 450r no exhaust no HRC kit nothing. was wondering if i take off the air box lid during this time of year dead of winter if it will be running to lean, will it be ok off or should i put it back on?

oh and another quick question, can i use one type of oil on the engine and tranny side or should i use different types of oil per different side.

If you take the air box lid off with out rejetting it will be extremely lean no matter what time of year it is.

You can run the same oil in both sides if you like, as long as it isn't energy conserving or have moly friction modifiers in it.
Moly is fine in the engine side, just not the clutch side.
