Carb?? worth it with my mods?

i asked this a little while back but didnt find the answer i was looking for, with the mods below, should i put a bigger carb on her? it is easy for me to work with carbs now becasue i have done it for a while, jsut wondering what i should get, how much it would be, what kinda gains i should expect and if the 400ex carb fits on good, i would like to put one on with out getting actually in the engine "pistons" and crap, thanks a lot

i had a 400 on mine and all i have is muffler system and filter...well for the 10 minutes i had it on there it much more midrange and top end...start out with your main jet around 160...my 400 carb kept popping out of the air boot tho

was it easy to hook up? waht about the pilot jet? and the needle?

the 300ex throttle cable works perfectly......and the carb slips into the tube between it and the engine perfectly...but the tube connectin the air box to the carb just wouldnt seat right on the carb for me....one good hard bump and my air boot would come off....i was using a 150 main and it was lean and someone on here suggested a 160 so...i was running a 42 pilot and needle in stock position and it wasnt cutting out but i never did a plug check for the pilot and clip....so i dunno...im gonna try and get it hooked up again as soon as it warms up around here...after wind chill its -5 :(

its just the 400ex carb is so much bigger ...and you just have to work with the 300ex air tubes to get it to fit.....its a tight very tight fit but can be done....im thinkin of maybe buyin a 400ex air tube and see if it will fit on my airbox...i know it will work the 400 carb...that would be the thing to do
