what is better to get horse power and speed a 400ex rev box or stage 2 hotcam?

higher compression and big bore stroke the crank there are a number of things u can do its just how far u want to go with it

i want it to go 75 to 80 so i can race people and i want it to go there pretty fast right now it goes a 3/4 mile in 9-10 seconds and topped out at 70mph what tips do u have to make it go 75 to 80mph?

i run a 440 with 16/36 and it pulls like a train,i find the ex is to short on its gearing,my set up helps,mid to top end which is were i think its needed.ive just put a magnum cam in, and i can feel it breaths so much better over the stock cam

bang for as you say in the states buck, yes.i find it works well with my 440, down side it dont have the cam wheel flange fitted, u have to press the stock 1 off your cam.no drama if u have a press.

i have a k&n air filter and a bills exhaust it goes 70mph and im doing stuff to make it faster :)

im sorry but what u have will not make it go 70 i have 39mm fcr carb 600$ with qs3 150$ on it full curtis sparks x6 system550$ ported head 350$ 416 11:1 piston 145$ hinson 8 plate clutch 500$ stage 2 hot cam 160$ and i think i can get 70 i think and i work at a motorcycle repair shop im all ways finding new ways with the help of all the good people on this forum to make my bike faster u have to resseach and find out what works for you but it cost $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

mine goes 71.... its all in the gearing. and thats with a radar gun so i know its right

iv'e always wanted to see what mine topped out at.the closest i came was when riding beside my buddy on his 660 grizzly ,but his speedometer tops out at 63 mph and i could pass him and from the distance between us i figured i was doin around 75, buts its hard to say for sure . i'm pretty sure i have stock gearing.i'll have to count them teeth one of these days:rolleyes:

wow dude obviously your bike is slow, you ask anybody wat their bike goes and i bet they say around 67-68 stock gearing. i went up i tooth and that brought me to 71 soo stop being an a**hole because its true. if you think that is fast then i would definitely be tearing down my motor.

i clocked mine and it has a bills full exhaust system, jetted, high performance k&n air filter and im gonna put a stage 2 cam and a cdi box on it but it already goes 70mph

for every 14 year old that got their panties in a bunch.. i was not poking fun at the 70 mph top speed. i was just laughing about the 3/4 of a mile in 9-10 seconds...so chill out.

im still sure it does not do 9-10 sec on a 1/4 mile. a corvette ZR1 doesnt even break 10 sec!!!

LMAO he seriously thinks his bike does 10 sec hahahahaha. dude my neighbor has a 650 HP camaro and he runs high 9's. if your bike runs 10 PLEASE let me know what you have done to it! :confused: :devil:

i think he's talking about having it maxed out at 70 from start to finish.. in that case the math still doesn't quite work out, but its closer than running a 10 second quarter mile on a drag strip :p

Even going 70 from start to finish it would take 12.5 sec!!!!!!
