Im Getting A 400ex Next Monday!!

now all i have to do is pay my 2000 debt and service it :p
i was wandering with the full fmf exhaust, is it supposed to sound different? like a clicking type of noise or something around that nature. i would upload a vid but cant do that on this computor, ill upload it when i get home.

Congrats man, i love my 400 stays up with my friends 450r stroker, not as fast but saved me a lot of money and its fast enough for me lol. as for knowing things, just the usual oil check before riding, its air cooled so always make sure your up on oil, just the usual maintance and you should be good, hope you enjoy it man.

Sounds like a good 4wheeler and it even has reverse and electric start! Those are both a plus in my book. And maintainence wise make sure to lube the chain after every couple rides, and check the oil and you will be good to go.

just check the obvious things like carrier bearings worn ball joints wheel bearings, any smoking or loud ticking ect..ive seen ure threads in the 450r fourm and think u are making the right desion on the 400ex the 450 is more powerful but the extra maitence isnt worth it unless u want to be riding motocross and need a bike that has more topend punch

That sounds like a good deal man. I just picked my new 07 400ex up last saturday for 3800 and it is a fun bike. Im ready to do some mods to it now but ill wait a lil while till i break it in. When you check it out i would check the wheel bearing make sure they are good. All the fluids of course. See what the sprockets look like and how worn they are. Look for any leaks and check under the seat to see how everything looks. Take it for a little ride and listen see if you hear anything out of the obvious. If you want you can check the breaks and rotors for wear dont want to have to replace all of that to begin with. I hope this helped out some and hope you enjoy your 400ex.
