525 exhaust whistle

Hey everybody. I dont post much but im always reading posts and whatnot. I reciently (yesterday actually) bought a 2nd outlaw, a 2008 525 IRS. Love it! Was brand new out of the box when I put it in the truck. My issue that I am having is that when I rev the engine and let the throttle off to idle I get an odd whistling (or odd rattling) from the stock exhaust. I was curious if this is common or what the deal is. I have had my 06 500 for over 3 years but dont have much ride time on the 525 yet. Any info much thanks.

From what I understand the chirping is common on 08+ Outlaws. It has something to do with the design of the spark arrestor. One of the guys in our group has an 08 that does the same thing.

this is a mechanical devise used in the atv version of marco polo. It just happends to come standard on the Outlaw.
