i've hammered the hell out of it, started with a household and graduated to 5lb sledge after handle broke on my 3lber. it turns and can be hammered in smooth as silk it just doesn't want to back out anymore(it's out 5"). only options i can think of,1 weld slide hammer to it and give her hell again which i don't see helping any besides stopping the occasional hand/frame smashing. 2 hack off the 5" that came out and beat it into the motor and remove once i have motor/swinger apart. i don't want to buy a new bolt or have the old one stuck in the motor so this would be my last ditch effort. this one bolt has already cost to me 2 cold dinners, one smashed hand and, a ding in the frame. anyone have the same problem let me know what u did to get it out.

I had a prob long time ago getting my swingarm bolt out. I used a long (10"?) 3/8 drive extension bar. Fits in the hole, long enough to give a good whack with a hammer and not smash anything on the quad. Don't plan on using that extension bar again for anything else!

Be better off replacing the extension, the bolt is over $30.

Yes, unless your 250 is a 91-92 model.
