View Full Version : 300ex OIL cooler

Can you mount an oil cooler on a 300? If so what kind model etc?

Yea u sure can. U can buy one on ebay by GDH racing, but if u check that out and get the idea u can find an oil cooler about the same size and make your own. U cut the metal oil lines and put rubber hoses for the oil to run through the oil cooler and dumps the cooled oil to the topend.

U mount the oil cooler on the 2 tubes where u can see the year of the quad on the front of the frame right behind the front bumper. U use the metal oil lines thats already on it u just cut them. In the pic the left arrow is the oil being pumped through the oil cooler and the one on the right bolts up to the topend.

Thanks so much ima gonna do that for nationals this year so I have to cut the metal lines and replace them wwith rubber?

Yep just take your time. The hardest part to me was gettin the rubber lines the right length so its not all bunched up. U don't need it goin through any excess hose that u don't need. And running the hoses through the frame and stuff took a minute to get it right. pm me if ya need anymore help
