Hey,
I've been surfing this site for awhile now, ...like 2 years, but only ride the dunes, so never posted here till NOW!! anyways, I did a frame-up rebuild on my 400, and of course i don't have a service manual....(living in Yuma, az it takes the bike shop a week to get anything) I was just wondering what the exact torque spec was for the axle locknut....both the pressure on the snap ring, and the locknut pressure. thanx!

Nick

I'll update all my stuff soon and post pics of my new and improved desert/mx race 400ex!

What the service manual says...
What the torque wrench indicates.
Out side- 59 lb-ft
inside- 85 lb-ft

Actual torque
Out side- 65 lb-ft
inside- 94 lb-ft

But I just tighten them as much as possible and wrap electrical tape around them.
