I believe the stock 86 rear wheel hubs are cast iron. There pretty daum heavy! I was wondering if anyone made any billet rear hubs? Or if any rear hubs off anything else fit that are lighter? 250ex, 300ex, 350x, 400ex, 450r, etc. That would cut down quite a bit of weight back there if i could find some aluminum ones.
Thanks!

ahhhhh son of a....

im gonna have to get a 400ex axle. Because my plan is to get a +4 axle, and get the g-force extended hubs. So that way i could adjust my axle to precisly 50 inches. (because for some reason my axle at full length now is only 49 inches.) Plus the weight savings would be great. But thats for another time, right now i just wanna RIDE.

Thanks guys!

when the fronts 51, it just looks a little goofy imo. Plus the extra width would be good for flat track.

Just leave your 49 inch wide rear setup alone. It's fine. Those extended hubs are junk.

So let me get this straight...you currently have an extended axle that puts you at 49 inches wide. You're going to go out and buy a 400EX axle and extended hubs for "precisely" ONE more inch of width? You're kidding, right?

Just run the stock hubs. They're fine. If you actually are going to motocross race this quad then you don't want any whimpy "lightweight" crap hubs (or crappy extended hubs) on your quad.

I wouldnt do it this year, but i was thinking about it maybe in the far future. My main question was, are 450r hubs aluminum and do they bolt right on the 250r. But since is seems aftermarket is my only option. Im sticking with what ive got now.

Good idea. If you're going to be doing some mx racing, you'll probably find you want some mx tires long before that other junk.
