Filter recommendation when doing away with factory air-box

Can anyone recommend what type of filter to use for a 2007 Predator 50cc. A friend of mine says he broke the stock air-box and wants to do away with it and needs to know what type of filter to use. Does he have to do any re-jetting? Any suggestions or help to get him more power would be great.
