300ex issue

i recently bought a 1995 300ex it starts fine and runs great but once its been running for about 10-15 min i cant give it over half throttle without it sounding like its hitting a rev limiter does anybody have ne ideas why?

but if it was the cdi or jets wouldnt it do it constintly instead of after 15 min?

check carb its most getting too much fuel over half throttle almost like the choke is on and u rev it...check the carb first and if its not that cdi would be the next thing to check....maybe it thinks its in reverse and has the rpm retard on......u could check the wires on the right side crank case maybe they are shorting out...?

black smoke out the exhaust at all?

yea check them two wires on the right side of the engine. Remove the black plate and clean connections really good. Make sure u put the wires back where they were.
