Hey guys,
I've been trying to figure out what stuff I should buy for my 400 next.
Right now this is what I'm considering:
1. Sparks X-6 exhaust - Should I go with the stainless or the ceramic coated one?
2. FCR 39 carb
3. CFM airbox with lid
4. MSD Factory Direct Performance ignition enhancer - Possibly
5. CFM aluminum subframe
Right now, I don't want to tear into the engine since it is still basically new, so a bigger and/or high compression piston are out of the question, as is a cam. I don't really like the idea of having to bore out my cylinder unless it is absolutely necessary.
I'm not really sure about getting the MSD box, but from my experience with muscle cars, MSD boxes help out the ignition system a bunch. I wish I could find more info on the 400ex MSD box, but no one really has any.
What do you guys think of my list? I think I would get a nice power increase without much trouble.
The main reason I'd get the CFM subframe is because I hate the look of the stock one once the battery is moved. Is the CFM subframe even available yet?
Does anyone have info on other aftermarket subframes??
Ahhh, there's nothing like dumping $2000 worth of aftermarket parts into a brand new machine! :D
