sounds like a good deal but are you giving him cash too? i dont understand his quote need to get rid of it for money but you are making it sound like a straight up trade so how is he getting money out of it? not tell you not to get it but that made me think.

Yeah that deffinately doesn't sound quite right. I went through this same thing this last summer, and in all honesty I wouldn't trade him. The ds is a tank and still no reverse not to mention a nightmare to buy aftermarket parts for. The 400 you have is already tried and true. I actually had a guy trying to trade me a 650 for my 05 ex when i got rid of mine.

no cash just a trade bike for bike
and he is have problems selling the bike
i am gonna check it out

so if it runs good is it worth it ?

an the only reason i want on is because i am a big guy an my brother in law had one and it was nuts it had a pipe sidewinder sproket kit and jetting. ]

an if i were to get this bike i would be putting a higher comp piston maby but i would have to do reserch and a set of cams intake pipe and port&polish down 1 tooth in the front sproket with the sidewinder kit

deff look at it start it and ask to ride it make sure no weird noises or probems shifting. just realy weird how he quotes he needs cash but is willing to trade staight up. as said before part are harder to find and they are a tank from what i heard of."never rode one so dont hold what i say against me" and do you ride trails or dunes? track? if it seems like a good quad go for it

i like to race the woods like a GNCC i would love to do cross country. i am a big guy and i feel i need a bigger bike but i want to go faster.

I have had a 400ex and a raptor 660, my buddy has a ds650 and man-o-man is that thing a tank, comfy, but a tank at best. But after having a 450r now...there's not much of anything else i would want to own. O and he hit a tree bent the right side all to hell...we still can't find a lower control arm......jmho

Yes the ds is fast on the top end. Much easier to ride the 400 threw trails and such(being that you can throw the bike around and it's 200 lbs lighter)...but i'm a honda guy at heart. That's why there's aftermarket :D
