i would never consider that personally i think the 400ex is superior to that tank. also why is he willing to trade if he needs money to pay bills.

Claimed Dry Weight: 490 lb thats more then 100lbs more then the 400ex

Wet weight for 400ex--399lbs

DS650 Wet Weight is over 500lbs.

Don't do it, keep the EX. DS's are big, heavy and IMO not very fast.

And in order to be able do alot of tight trails you will need to narrow the bike up I was told

the only way to make a DS fast is to just slap an R1 motor in it!! haha

The only time I would do it is if you ride desert, or dunes. ds's are very wide which hurts them in the trees. if you ride them in those 2 places, its actually a really nice machine. the low end on them isnt too impressive but once they wind up they flatout haul. seeing your from ny, dont do it though
