I am in the process of swapping everything over to a 2001 frame and the brake light switch does not mount the same. Can someone take a few pics of the how the switch mounts? Thanks, Micah.

There was no brake light on the older machine.

Nope, older machines IE 04 and earlier didnt have a brake light-had a constant tail light that came on when you turned the lights on.

Ok, I guess I will just rig something up. Thanks.

There is a mounting point under your frount brake lever. If you look on the brake lever itself, you will see the tab hanging down that trips the switch. this will give you brake lites for front brakes only. thats what Iam doing. you use the front brake more anyway, don't need a rear switch.

Hey Liek, How would that wire into a 1st gen. 400 ??? There's 2 black wires runnin out of the brake switch. And wouldn't you have to change the bulb for it to work with the lights on. How bout a little more descriptive answer ?

of-course you'll have ! you can get a 3 wire bulb or replace the brake light unit !

i got this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Universal-LED-Tail-Light-TRX300EX-Warrior-Blaster-450ER_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem33512199d9QQitemZ 220404488665QQptZMotorsQ5fATVQ5fPartsQ5fAccessorie s#ht_500wt_805

i've open up the stock taillight and mount this in the original rear brake assembly or you can just replace it with this but it's a little small IMO. but this is a 3 wire unit
