What would be the difference power wise between say my 2005 TRX450R or a Hybrid that has say a 2002-2004 CRF450R motor ?

Im considering selling mine to buy a Hybrid or to start building one.

I don't race and dont plan to. I love to go fast, fast crazy woods riding and love hill climbs.

YOUR THOUGHTS?

Or better yet are there any year CRF450R motors that you can put in the 2005 TRX450r FRAME ?

youd be better off buying a well taken care of crf hybrid, a walsh would probably be your best choice than doing anything with your 450r chassis

the CRF motors are taller, so in order to make them go into the frame you would probably have to take the head and such off first. Then I dont even know if there will be enough clearance for everything.

When i see the word WALSH... i see DOLLARS $$$$$! I aint got money all like that. At most id probably take a 400 ex frame and start from there.

It really doesn't make sense to build a hybrid any more except for the fun of building it. People used to build them because the manufacturer wasn't making 450 quads but they had 450 bikes. Hence the yzf and crf hybrids that used to be all over.

if you get some beat up hybrid it will be a money pit and headache...99% of the walsh ones are still in good working order, you for what you get

Only way I'd do a hybrid now is if I found a nice T-pin narrow frame. That would be a nice bike.

There's no point in building hybrids anymore, they cost more than a production bike to build and for what...
