88-89 headlight on 87

Is there any special brackets on the 88-89 that help hold up the headlight. I just got some plastic and it came with the headlight and it looks like the light is just supported by the plastic and would bolt right up to my 87. I had to take off my 87 style because during races when I rolled the bike it would bend the headlight up bad.

Tried searching "headlight" but didn't get anything. shop manual was no help either.

your wanting to bolt up an 88-89 hood/head light assembly to a 86-87 fender set? if so it will work.

well i got the whole plastic set so I can only assume the fenders are 88-89 too but they look identical to my 87 fenders. i was just wandering if there was something else the held the light up other then the plastic. Looking at it though even if there was it seems like the plastic is strong enough to hold it on its own.

yea I have a pdf of shop manual just wanted to double check. Better to ask now then latter after i get hit in the face with a headlight coming off a jump.
