View Full Version : finished project
my cousin has been redoing his 400ex/ cr 250 hybrid at my shop we just finished it up today so he could get it up for sale, i mounted up the 450r hood looks pretty good gives the old 400ex bodywork a updated look
everything goes together pretty well, but i cant help but think the pipe is killing the performance a bit, vibes arent bad either like everyone claims...i dont think it vibrates anymore than the bike did

Yeah that intake design looks like it has lots of potential for hybrids of all kinds

How does the 250 run on that frame?
I mean how does it compare to the 400 motor that was on it?

its quicker than a 400 but i think youd have to get the dirtbike pipe on it some how to get true performance

Ok thanks I always wondered how well a 250 would do on that frame. I had an R for years but it was a trike so it was much lighter.
deff dope. i would love to build one myself how hard is the build? no electrical really to hassle with hmmmm
spacer on pivot, mount on the top and bottom frame rail, radiator mounts, rework a pipe, build 1 front motor mount use 1 front motor mount off the 400ex..nothing too crazy
yea will he trade for a 2005 bbr honda crf 50 with over 2 grand into it and a mint 2003 rm 85l big wheel with fresh dunlops on it? haha worth a shot
