fcr spring mod ?

I have a fcr 39mm sparks carb and was wondering how to get the throttle lighter? Is there a different spring or trick to lighten the thumb throttle?

just take out one of the springs in the throttle mechanism and go to your local auto or home depot or something and see if you can find one the same size with less resistance.

id start by making sure there is no bind or that it is properly lubed up.

also you can buy a thumb throttle extender for like 15 bucks and they help drasticly. i love mine. but make sure it bolts on and not zip ties on cus the first one i had zip tied on and it broke off after a few rides.

I've seen this spring on Ebay mentioned for YFZ's with FCR's. I have no idea if it will work on other FCR's though. I'm curious too because I have a Sparks FCR 39 on mine. Ebay item # 320473370155

i had a keihin carb once with the same problem....i just gradually cut the spring till it felt perfect.....check cable routing first.

I got it fixed. I let the spring unwind one around made a huge differnce.
