I am replacing the crankcase oil in our polaris 90 2 stroke. The oil that come out looked more like grease than oil and not more than a 1/4 cup full drained out. Is this correct? What type of oil do I put back in?
Thanks for any info
The oil is from the transmission. Use Belray GearSaver or AMSOIL Gear Oil. You have no oil in motor except for the oil you put in your gas. The oil is for tranny!!

what weight is this? 75/90?
The AMSOIL Series 2000 is equivalent to the Polaris AGL Lube and is a SAE 80W.
This is the lube to use..If you can't find it locally you can order it here..AMSOIL Series 2000 Chaincase Lube (http://www.amsoil.com/catalog.aspx?GroupID=6&zo=34396)
It comes in 12-oz bottles. One should do the job as I believe is takes just shy of 12-oz. But if yours is as bad as you said, it might be wise to buy 2 bottles. Run if for a few miles and change it out again to clean out the gunk.
MSRP $6.25 each
