I ride an 08 525IRS outlaw, and like it very much but I also like the tourqe and relieability of the 700 raptors and all the after market options. I thing what sounds realy cool is the turbo kits that are available for the raptor's.

So has anyone seen or been around the Insan Turbo kit's?

I have a buddy that has a JVR kit , the power band is very smooth and reliable. They are not cheap but, when you look at stock motor+turbo = around 100 hp with the reliability of a stock motor, I wish I had gone that route. They also have some trail versions as well.

Thats what I am talking about, nobody in their right mind would need that much HP, but it isn't a matter of need, it's a matter of want and likeing the idea of having to much HP.

I haven't heard of that kit yet. How much is that one? The Insan kit is like 3500.00, but for the amount of gain I think it's the cheapest gain. Its easy to dump 1500.00-2500.00 and only gain 10 or 15 horse, so add another grand and double it, wow. I wish Insan or someone else had the bolt on kit for the outlaws. But then, I don't think these motor's would be as relieable as the yammy's are with that much gain.

My buddy runs the nsane turbo kit on his 06 raptor. It runs really strong and is very fast. I think it is kind of useless unless you ride the dunes. The intercooler is right where the front bumper goes so he can' t ride behind anyone. The air filter is right above the right front wheel so dust and water is also a problem. The kit he got was far from a bolt on kit he had to make things fit and drill holes for the oil lines. I know insane has changed the kit so now maybe it easier to install. Hope this helps.

JVR has addressed these issues as best they can with the trail turbo kit.

I think if I was going with or if they made one for the outlaw I would go with the JVR trail kit. Thats one of my only gripes with polaris, they don't let the aftermarket world in.
