smoke rings coming out of my motor 03 kfx400

just bought this 03 kfx 400 yesterday but didnt get to ride it much b4 i bought it due to the rain . i rode it today and after it warms up there little smoke rings coming out of a weep hole on the left side of the jug . whats this and why is it doing it . i have been searching forms all day . havnt found anything yet . your thoughts or facts plz . thanks robert

well the only thing i can thi nk of is that ur getting some blow by passed your park plug never rely heard of the happening but thats the only thing i could think of because that weep hole is just a drain i believe so water and dirt doesnt stay in you sprk plug area

Had the exact same thing, The 1/8" size hole on the left side of the jug.


What I had thought is that it was from some Sta Bil i put in the tank but didn't dilute it enough with gasoline. It was also causing some white smoke out the tail pipe.

The little perfect smoke rings were pretty strange. I drained the tank, carb and filled with fresh gas and everything stopped.

i saw your post eather on this site or another site and dumped the old fuel and put in race/pump mix and it still does it . it only does it when its warmed up and smells like race fuel now .

theres no lack of power . it outruns my kfx450r and stays up with the kfx700 .

it could also be a overtightened spark plug i did that on my z and it cracked the aluminum thread and was getting compression pressure blow by

i agree with k2thej sounds like blow by from or around the spark plug check it out...
