new toy..lrd framed crf hybrid

Just traded my built ltr for a lrd aluminum 400ex framed crf450 hybrid!!..yeah its ugly right now and these are crappy pix but there will definately be a build thread for this one!!
..this was practically a barn find that was still in mx action
at times...came from a farm and it looks like it!..
otherwise it got lots of extras including fresh built motor and fresh P.E.P.s

i can get that info..came from maple park...do you have info on this quad?I would appreciate any info you can give me on its history!!!!!....thanx!!!

i dont mean to rain a sunny day but that looks just like a OE chassis... the 250r Alum. ones you can really tell its alum... can you post some better pics? thanks

If I remember right Jeremy Beetz found this frame for John, he found it brand new from Eastcoast ATV. It is an actual LRD aluminum frame for a Crf w/ 400ex geometry. I have seen this quad in person. I race District 17 w/ John & Jeremy. Thats about all the info I have I think he built it around 04-05 I think. I dont know if John sold it to someone or your bought it from John? Hope that helps!

it is definately not a stock frame and it is definately a 400 frame..there was less than 25 400 frames made from what ive found..there was more 250 frames made than 400's..and it is laker plastic....

lynch and leager thanx!!!...dont know the first name of the guy i got it from but his last name is steder(sp?)...i just ran it in indy monster jam quad wars last night..it was grouchy!!..carb needs some work but after quad wars peoria its getting stripped anyway!!!

lol..yeah thats probly the guy i got it from..he didnt know much about it..quad wars is basically a part of some monsterjam shows..honestly its racing mx style with a couple of small jumps where the winner is predetermined in battle to get the crowd going....remember its for the kids anyway!!!..always a blast!!..besides,im a big kid anyway so its always cool to ride indoors in the middle of winter next to monster trucks..there are many out there who hate the idea but the fans(kids)love it

well i got to ride it this weekend,3 shows of quad wars..bike is stupid fast and runs great,cold..grouchy as s@#t hot though..pilot jet is plugged..o well its getting completely tore down in the next couple weeks for it make over..first plans are to test fit some exhaust before it gets tore down,then off to my excellent welder to fix some previous "butcher" repairs that were made to the frame...more to come with pix through out the build!

well,teardown has begun,no suprises yet..makes me sick that someone couldnt take care of a quad like this..miss matched bolts with a life time supply of washers used as spacers,nothing was cleaned or lubed so crossing my fingers on the swingarm bolt coming out..it looks like the frame craked a coulpe times and they tried arc welding it back together!..lol..that will all be cut out and fixed correctly along with a little gusseting here and there..i will take some pix when its a bare frame
