So about 3 years ago, I rebuilt my ex with a 440 kit, and did some powdercoating and stuff, and then just realized that I never posted any pics when I did it. So, as the title says, better late than never, here they are. A lot has changed since these pictures. Hell, its not even the same motor anymore. But anyways,

And yes, the stickers made it at least twice as fast:D

Looks (well, looked I guess haha) really nice. Did you PC the engine as well, or is that just rattle can? How well did it hold up?

I pc'd all of the motor, except for the sort of lighter black that you see. that is actually high temp rattle can. I also pc'd the frame and subframe. the a arms, swingarm, and hubs I painted with automotive paint, and I learned to never trust my local chrome shop again. none of it held up. Im thinking about making another hybrid out of it this summer, since its been leaking oil from day one. every time i fix a leak another one pops up. Im thinking maybe a crf or a yz426

Dude that motor looks crazy. I like the black and yellow colors but the stickers... not so much.

If you make a hybrid use a cr500 motor.

i have a kawasaki tecote 250r 3 wheeler that has a cr500 motor in it..... rediculouse, to say the least. no one ever rides it we only get it out to drag race with it at silver lake. honestly it needs alot of cosmetic stuff befor ill be able to enjoy it but its faster than anything i ever rode. :eek2:

howd the paint hold up on the motor?did it run noticeably hotter?

As far as the stickers go, I was 14. I thought they were cool at the time. But the paint on the motor is still there, and just has some stains from oil leaks. It did run hotter, but that was a culmination of the 440 kit, the powdercoat, and me being fat. The yellow actually turned a darker color after the first year or so. Now I have a completely different cylinder on that matches the side cases, but the head and valve cover are still yellow.
