42mm carb on a z400?

Is a keihn 42mm carb off a 450r to big for my z400? It only has a full yoshi and i plan on getting a K&N sometime..
What would i have to do to get it boted in and the bike running smooth? And yes I did search the forum, but couldnt find anything helpful.

yes it will work ,your also will need the thumber from a trx ,cable ,and a way to plug the hot start, i'd use the 04 trx boot to
