Does anyone have any experience with shaving the flywheel in a 400ex. We ride mostly woods and hills, just wondering how that would make it perform. I have a 416ex with cam and exhaust, just wondering how it would effect it.

i personally have never ran a shaved fly wheel on anything.

but a lighter flywheel will give you quicker acceleration (due to less roatating mass) but don't expect the difference to be night and day. like i said there will be a gain in acceleration but the results will be minimal.

Like mentioned above, it is very common. I have a big write up about it and my experience with it. I always say lighten your flywheell no matter what you drive!
