Have any of you run these tires before and how did you like em? They seem like a good deal for only 52$ a tire. If I do end up getting the 22" tires should I go down 1 tooth on the front sprocket? Thanks.

those tires are good if you pull trees with your 400, why dont you look at the duro race tires burm raiders or something. look alot like holeshots, i paid 60 a tire for them and i use them on dirt roads and pavement and hard trails, so i dont chew up the holeshot hds. :macho there like 100 a tire lol.

there lasting a long time on pavement ant hard roads, they bite good when we get in the woods, they are cheap, and there more of a tire you should put on a 400ex.

I was looking at those and didn't know if they were good or not. How hard is it to change the back tires yourself?

its not too bad but my local tire guys will do it for 7$ a tire ill bet you can find someone local with a machine for cheap. also if you need a even more race inspired tire those burm raiders are nice ones for grooving them you can split the knobs if you like. very simple, i actually did a set with a chainsaw. lol i made them directional with a v and they bite way good now, comparative to the maxxis razr. decent tires for sure.

Says this on rocky mountain for the holeshot:

Extremely puncture resistant thanks to heavier-duty sidewall. 4-ply rating.

What ply are the stock tires?

i'd highly recomend some maxxis sur trak's. they come in a 22inch size and have the perfect tread for loose terrain like sand/mud and work awesome in the trails with all the traction you would want. http://specialtytirestore.com/sur_trak_tires.htm

heres a old video of my banshee I used to have, it had a set of 22-11x9 maxxis sur traks http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BrKmREruZnA

Those look pretty nice. How'd they hold up in the trails because that site says there only 2 ply.

If you're looking for a good tire at a cheap price, look at Kenda. Kenda Claw XCs are only like $50 a tire and have a 6 ply rating.

Try this site: http://www.4atvtires.com/atvTires/showProduct.php?id=3461&cat_id=3

Couple bucks more but they have a lot of sizes.

dont let them fool you on the berm raiders they held up just fine on all kinds of trails. i never drove into a brush pile but for what they are its damn good tire. 6 ply rated. another good tire is the kenda knarly they have all sorts of cheap tires out there but i would look at the profile of the tire. you dont want a rounded baloon tire on a ex, it will handle like ****.

i have a good set of dick cepex spider tracks in a 22 inch ill sell for 50 shipped let me know if you want to see some pictures. they are almost bran new prolly 85-90% tread. pm me with a email address if you are interested.
