outer wer pre-filters

i am getting a K&N air filter for my 250ex :) andd i was thinking of getting an outerwear pre-filter :confused: but i was wondering the likes and dislikes of it from the users i am trying to make my 250ex the best i can:macho

it helps to keep the thicker dirt or even mud off of the filter but when riding in dusty conditions,it really doesn't seem to make a difference.

Go ahead and get the prefilter,,,nothing wrong with helping keep even more crap from getting into your motor..I've always used a prefilter with mine and always will.

i have one on mine and it don't hurt to have it. if u buy a k&n filter buy it from rocky mountain they are 14$ cheaper for the 400ex then anywhere else i have seen. they are 48.00$ everywhere else and 34.00$ at rocky. that will basically buy u a pre charger for free and some of the oil...
