I've never tried plastic weld, but I have stitched one together with zipties. Just drill lots of holes on each side of the plastic, then run a ziptie between them. It will hold like it was new, and keep it from cracking any further. I've even did this to piece that had broken completely off, and it held fine.

If you look hard enough, you can usually find zipties that will match the color of the plastic.

Remember to drill at the edge of both sides of the crack too. That keeps the crack from growing even after zip tying the plastic

I've plastic welded my fenders numerous times over the years. It works great. I've never had the fenders break where the weld was. I've mostly had problems with the front tabs on the 400EX fenders.

I bought my kit at least 10 years ago from www.urethanesupply.com I just looked at their web site and they still sell them. It appears as though the one from harbor freight is much less expensive though.

i drilled a lot smaller holes and used hay wire or mechanics wire and painted the wire before i used it... it dont rust or loosen up over time and you really cant see the hole or wire that good after the works done. Im not a verry big fan of wire ties or zip ties...
