I keep looking through the threads and seeing all of these
avatars that either scroll different pics or have motion clips.
what I cant figure out is how you people do that. I mean c'mon
I'm from KY and I dont know jack. so If any one can help me with
this I'd glady appreciate it

a .gif is a type of picture format

You can find gif images all over the web, just do a search. You can also make your own animated gif's using programs like "GIF CONSTRUCTION SET PROFESSIONAL" which is what I use. It is freeware which you can find on the web. There are tons of programs out there. It works like an old cartoon - a series of still pictures are used to create animation. Here is another example:

Where can I find this freeware program at, could i go to
MSN and do a search for the Gif Contruction set? Or do i gotta
do sumtin else

Try a google search for animated gif's. Or if you have adobe indesign or Corel R.A.V.E. you can animate your own avator like I did for mine and kawsam62 (brother in law & riding buddie).
