i know this has prolly been talked about alot just need some quick opinions.

1st question- wat is the stock front on an 07 450r? is it a 14 tooth? i think thats wat it is but not sure.

2nd question- im running 18" sheng shin ice tires all studded up, riding a river, and it seems like i hit top end really quick i would like to get some more top end on outta the bike. I was thinking about going up 2 teeth in the front, but not sure how high u can go im pretty sure that i wouldnt be dissapointed on the low end if i installed that sprocket if its possible to get that sprocket. does anyone know if u can get a 2 teeth over stock front sprocket?

3rd question- i know this isnt a gearing question but hopefully someone can answer it. i was looking at turning up the idle on the quad but i dont see an idle screw, i came from a 400ex and im not familiar with the FCR carb. any help would b great thanks for any and all opinions.

dunno about the '07 but when i run a 15 on the front of my '05 i had to cut my case saver and its really close to the swingarm. If the '07 has a 16 i would run it if it is as tight of a fit as mine is just as a 15....i say 15 max..then just go down on the rear if your not satified.

I have a 06 450r 07 is the same
#1 stock is 13 front
#2 I ice race and use a 14 and a 38 you could go up one more in the front, I know a 15 will fit
#3 The idle screw is located on the right side toward the middle of the gas tank.
Hope this helps

i use a 15/37 for motorcross..i gear it so tall because i like to use all of the gears.i do end up stalling a lot more in the tight stuff with a 15...so for that i usually gearing it down one in the front.

As cheap as the front sprockets are, I would order a couple different sizes for the front. 15 is a huge difference and you're gonna be surprised at how long first gear is. I run 15/38 on my dune/grudge quad and first gear is pretty long and in some situations I switch to a 14t front. You may also wanna snag a 37 and 39 or 40 rear to experiment with your setup. Good luck!
