2005 z400 lowering

My buddy has 2005 z400 a wants to adjust the shocks and lower it. Can he do this without messing with the compression and just use the wrench?

to lower the overall height your gonna wanna change your spring preload...but unless you have aftermarket front shocks thats all you can do is adjust the preload on the fronts

That is incorrect. 2005 and up Zs have fully adjustable shocks. I should know, I own one.

if ya want to lower the rear there is a link that can be gotten from ebay to do just that ,i have one and it works great ,there is some thing for the front to but i never felt the need for it ......yet
