well today was an interesting day. worked out in the lawn repairing a leaky tank, and broken pvc pipes do to the freeze. also was late to work because i stayed busy. building a little somethin somethin for my center console, let you figure out what.

im making a small speaker box, cup holder, and edge mount. i will wrap with padding and pleather to match. it will look good. im just doing two kicker door speakers in it.

ive had for two days. my truck will now white smoke the tires. its a 4.6 with 33's. wow. gas mileage went up two or three miles to the gallon. imo just the gaugues you get wiht it r worth it. im my case, i got it for a hundred bucks:devil:

deffinitely worth 300 bucks. you can get them used on f150online . com.

I will be getting an edge insight for sure as my gauges soon. It will be tuned with SCT though. Great looking dog, def get some pics up when you finish that console.

So you have had it 2 days, and you can already tell that your gas milege went up 2-3 mpg, even though you have been smoking the tires?:rolleyes:

I didnt think you could custom tune the edge

Just make sure that if you get a custom tune on it somehow that they tune the transmission too, that the important part, this way you dont destroy your trans.

You can't. Power hungry performance makes the Gryphon Programmer.(What I have in my 03 F-150 5.4L) It is the edge with customizable tunes. I believe the edge can be upgraded through him into a Gryphon. Not sure on the price. www.powerhungryperformance.com

fastredrider44, i live way out in the woods. i drive 50-60 miles a day. my mpg before the tuner as shown on the dash was 18 highway, 15-16 around town.

after was...
55 w cruise 24
70 w cruise 18-20
85 w cruise 16-18

around town it was 16+.

i attached a photo of the edge. top left is rpms. top right is mph. bottom left is instand mpg. bottom left is avg. mpg.

yes i reset it after doing some 0-60's, 1/4 miles, and a few burnouts.

Yea me and my brother have always had similiar taste. Now he wants an extended cab and i want a four door. he just had a kid so there is no more loading up with friends and going out. however, im still young:devil:.

made my box first version of the box today. didnt like the fit so this one will be wrapped in black carpet and hold me over until i build my next one.

great work, looks like it is coming along nicely. the edge sounds like a nice upgrade for your fords. heaven only knows they need it. lol sorry about that, i gotta be careful, i own a ford. but i also own a pontiac so it evens out lol. steve

Damn right. I drove my dads 5.4L around for a few days while I was working on my truck and it is gutless. I was so happy to get back into my lightning.

I guess its the weight that makes such a difference.

i have a 97 explorer with push rod 4.0L in it. that thing is pretty gutless too lol. my sunfire makes up for it though. that is a bit faster with the 2.4 in it. lol. steve

I feel ya. id rather bring a girl home and chill then go out. hard to come across good girls anymore though. As far as money, i sold my race bike today for 5000. but that went in the bank, and will stay there.
