best bet for those motors would probably be a yfz. 250r probaly wouldnt fit without major mod work. and ive seen 350 banshees in a yfz.

use a stock frame lt250r for a lt500 engine....
or a couple guys on quadracerhq.com are making new aftermarket frames that use a yfz450 front end and geometry and various rears...i can PM u the info if u are interested in that route...the rear can be no link, stock lt250r 92 linkage, or a new F1 style design...

If money is not an issue - a custom frame would be the very best route. Build it how you want.
One of the best handling stock frames is the 250R. However, you may want to go a different route because stuff is so hard to find these days. I would probably go a little more updated like taking a YFZ frame and get one custom built for the banshee motor.
Or getting a Banshee frame which has a CR500 link rear/no-link rear and 250R geometry front end.
Another route would be to go with a LT450R frame and put the LT500 motor in it.

This is partially a matter of opinion, but the 250r is legendary for its handling and power. The 400ex is almost the same geometry as the 250r so it is also up there. The yfz would be my next on the list after those.
I would personally use a 400ex frame, they are a dime a dozen and cheap. If you are set on one of those two motors I would go with the banshee just because of parts availability. But a correctly built 250r will do everything without all the headaches. Aslong as you want to do something logical you can make anything fit that frame with radiators or without.
As far as a a 1000cc motor in any frame it will not handle good it is way too heavy and really not much faster than a well built 450 or banshee or 250r. They are almost impossible to make ridable or dependable.

I know this is kinda going away from what i was posting but. i have a kawi mojave just sitting in my yard. how hard do you think it would be to put a banshee motor in it? if its easy then itd save me a grand or 2. ik its not the best handling frame out there. but i wanna put more money into the motor then the frame.???

you will want agood chassis, you can have 10 grand dumped in to a stock car motor, but when it comes time to drop that big 454 thats bored and stroked like a mother and a half in that Geo metro, that little girl cant handle thepower,
if you want to do it right and have the money get the chassis and do it right, this will save you time and money down the road, that mojave chassis will keep cracking with a 350 banshee motor or a zilla in it... i would do the zilla hybred my self... its something you make your own...

What do you plan on doing with it once it is done? Moto cross, Cross country, Drags,or Dunes?
Knowing this info would aid in determining what frame I would use.
Looking at your post you, you said you would like a good handeling frame. This leads me to believe you must plan on using it for Mx or Cc. If this is the case, and money was limited, I would use a 250r,400ex frame. however, since money is not an option. I would probably buy an aftermarket frame.
If you are using it for dunes or drags, I cant help you. I know nothing about them.

I wanna do something like casual and fast paced trail riding but still wanna be able to take it to the dunes a couple of times a year. So kinda like an all around frame.

a trx450r frame would be a good platform to start with. it has close to 400ex/250r geometry but with a stronger top rail. the subframes are weak but a guy could have one built or build it himself easily enough. it would take some fab work but i would go with one of the 3 honda frames personally.

im not a big fan of the 450r... IMO it would be one of the last honda sport quads i would ride... i just dont care for it...
if you can, i would find a aftermarket chassis 250r, its strong and it will handle like a dream...
