anyway the bike idels good, and runs ok but if i try to PIN the throttle it boggs and wants to die but yet if i easy the throttle up and let it like build it runs ok.....soo im stumped! and i no i cant reall describe in righting as good as i could in person....anyideas on what could be going wrong

what does your plug look like? i would say to go up to the 2nd clip position on the needle and it should help it out a bit. this is the second from the top. steve

ok steve......and i thought that the needle was just a way to "fine" tune the jetting.....

that is what the f/a screw is pretty much for. if it is idliing fine then your pilot is good. if you running fine up top then you main is ok too try to go up on the clip to lower the needle a bit more, if this doesnt work go the other way to richen it up. look at your plug before you do it so you can tell if you are running rich or lean. this will determine which way to go. i assume you are going to have to go to the second. if i were you, i would do it right now and get it running right. lol. you should be set after this. do a couple of plug chops to be sure it is good and you will be all set. golden brown is what you are going for, white is lean, black is rich. steve

ok man..ill give it a try, and i cant really do a plug chop sense i live in a neighbor hood, yea i can run it around slowyl and idle for a while but i cant be running it high rpms and stuff like that......but i can take the plug out and check it....so 2 from the top on the needle

if you can take a pic of the plug that would help out a bit. steve

if it was black then i would def go to the second position. it will feel like a new machine i bet once you get it dialed in correctly. heres a shot of the needle. steve

well i went to try again with the jettig today and i couldnt figure it out sense i the machine kept chokeing and coughing a spitting my dad said maybe there is a stuck open valve.......checked the valves and nothing....and sense i had all the plastics and stuff off my dad decided to do a compression test and the compression was TERRIBLE.....we new it needed new rings cause it smoked but we didnt no it was that bad...about 75 pounds of compression so the reason it was bogging was the compression was so low it wasnt sucking the gas through the intake to run so now i have the whole top end out and all that great stuff and it needs a bore and pistion and rings.......ahahha weird thing...i thought it was jetted wrong and i needs a new top end....:blah:

more than lickly . 416 is 159% for the kit and then watever it costs me to bore it

if you can always get 93 octane get an 11:1 with a stage 2 to go with the full exhaust and you will have a ripping machine when you are done for pretty cheap. steve

well it would be a 416 with 11:1 and a stage 1 cam......i dont need the top end a stage 2 gives just the bottom end of the stage 1.....and i already got the full pipe.....so ill be good to go once i can get the money and rebuild it

oh yeah you will like the stage 1 also. This spring i am going to do a little seat of the pants testing for the stage 1 and 2 in mine lol. i dont have any dynos around to do any testing so i cant do any numbers or anything but it will be fun. it is going to be tough to beat my 10:1 with the stage 1 in it. i like it so much, it is going to take quite a bit to keep the stage 2 in there. steve
