ok noob question but i wanna be sure about it. 450r, 400ex and 250r all use the same swingarm bolt correct? bolt was seized in my 250r and had to cut it cant find one anywhere and i can get a 400ex or 450r one easy just wanna be sure its the same thing

Incorrect.

450R and 400ex may - but I still doubt that, but 250R is definitely different length and I believe thickness.

well they list the bolts as the same on ebay for all 3 or at least thats how they are selling them... ok next question anyone got a good usable 250r swinger bolt they dont need and want to part with?? pretty please :D

I know for sure that the 400EX bolt will work. Couldn't tell you about the 450R though.

I have a 400EX swingarm bolt in my 250R. Works great and its cheaper for some reason...

everyone had told me that the 400ex and 450r will work fine in the 250r. they are about 1/3 of the price and others have used them in different forum.. research it a little more to make sure before you buy. but thats what i am doing with my winter resto. going with the cheapest..:D

ive got a stock 86 swinger if your interested. And yes the 400ex bolt is the just the same as the 250r, just a lil bit longer.

sorry i think you misunderstood my post. my swinger is good with bearings i just had to cut the bolt since it was seized in the bushings. all i need is a new bolt

get you a 400 bolt throw a grease zerk in the end and drill a small hole in it keep that baby greased and you will never have that problem again. I had the same problem a while back and noticed the bolt was hollow making a great grease point

no one knows for sure that it will work.. i thought i remember reading somewhere a while ago that the 450r bolt works fine but i cant find that info anywhere.. this will save some bucks for a lot of people.. even a few for ex owners if they all interchange.

they will interchange my buddy just did this on his 400ex his bolt was worn bad so he got one for a 04-05 450r and it has worked flawlessly. so this is what im doing also. 400ex works in the 250r and the 450 is the same length as the 400ex so yes this is a fact

dunno how i missed this thread but they'll all interchange. hell! in a pinch once i used a 300ex.
