what temp should my 440 run

I put 440 kit on getting ready to rejet what temp should my head and exhaust run ...

And having issues checking oil one sec its over full and the next its way under should i be screwing the stick in and checking or just sticking it in the hole or could this be a bigger problem like oil pump or blockage my oil tank seems to heat up evenly with my motor so i would say my oil pump is working any one got any info thnx

i only have oil temps buy my 416 ranges from about 190 to about 240 when i riding. I would say this is well in the range of being ok. I would say head temps will be a little more than that. I know some guys use a trail tech that tells them some temps from the spark plug also. they will probably chime in and say what they are getting at the head. steve

let the bike tick over for a few mins,no reving.then just sit the dipstick in the hole.do not screw it in.john
