something broke...

so i was going 5th gear wide open and all the sudden i hit the rev limiter.. thought it poped out of gear but it didnt so i shut the quad off.. i figured oh great so there went my clutch finally.. well i called the dealer they said the same thing that it was the clutch.. i took the clutch cover off and the basket is still there and so are the clutch plates.. i thought it was weird if the clutch went out and there was still pressure there when i pulled the lever in.. so im unsure of the problem now, im thinking it was the gears or something but it still shifts into all 5 gears just fine.. but i can push it around like its in nuetral..

any ideas to wut it could be? :confused:

Just a quick question.....you said there is pressure but is it releasing fully?

yes it is.. the clutch feels like its working just fine..

Did the gear on the back of the basket in-rivet itself?

im not sure i didnt take it that far apart.. the motor is at the dealer now.. should be covered under warrenty they said..

Redo your adjustment at the case! It probably lost play and is holding then clutch plate in! Set it at 1/2 turn out and lock it down! Clutches wore down and took up all the clearance!
