I was thinking of buying a pc2000 265PV off a guy and I was wondering if anyone has had any experience running these in XC.

I know power wise it would be better then stock but how do they hold up to abuse and what about maintenance? Iv been reading on the site and trying to find info and it seems that the fact that duncan uses nikasil coating and a custom piston that it might be a pita and expensive to rebuild if anything happened.

I ran a stock cyl that i did a fresh bore on at the beginning of the last race season and did a new piston and rings every 4 races and it held up threw a lot. its not uncommon in take in a little water and dirt running these XC and its usually better to run a slower motor for the entire season then only run half because i have no running motor.

Do you have any restrictions on size in your class? I see the 265's in mx a lot. If you don't want it hook me up with his contact info, I'd like to have it for my mx build.
