Hey everyone,

I begin by apologizing for my bad English.

I have a pair of shocks AXIS ProAir 18 1/2" (470mm) Long Travel.

I want to buy a set of a-arms +3" Long Travel that will work with my shocks. For MX.

Who can tell me what a-arms using shocks of 18 1 / 2 "?

I think janssens uses such shocks?

I had a set of a-arms MGC (example : JD Performance)

This would replace my pro-trax.

I hope you can help me.

Thanks.

I thought you already had fox shocks?

Did you get these off of a 450R? Most LT 250R A-arms require 19" to 19.75" shocks. 18.5" is generally the length used for MGC style a-arms for 450R's but nobody makes those for 250R.

Your best bet would be to find out from Axis or an Axis dealer if you can lengthen them. Otherwise run them as they are on any Houser, Laeger, LSR a-arms and it'll just sit low.

Is your protrax going to be for sale?

yes, get them lengthned they will work much better and you can use better arms imo. OR i think gibson uses 18.5 inch shocks.

I have a pair of Fox 19 1 / 4 ".
The axis is a 2nd trx.
I want to compare the shocks.

I can not extend the shocks in my country. Axis is unknown.

I saw JD Performance sells a set of a-arms Long Travel MGC +3" +1" for trx 250R.

I love this set.
But my shocks are too short.

I have 2 options :

- Selling my axis and take 19 1/4" which will go on most of the a-arms.
- Find a set of a-arms that uses shocks 18 1/2"

My pro-trax is already sold.

Thanks

roll design, jrd, herrmann, try a gull wing style instead of the type where the mount is under like houser and laeger. still designed for a 19 3/8" shock, but they wont sit quite so low.

one more option is prp long travel if they still make them, were straight and had the shock mount straight through the tubing, not under, and not gullwing, they were mae to be used on his frame where the shock mount was higher. those would be perfect.
