What is the benenfit of an aftermarket stem? I have no idea, but I get this wierd feeling I need one.

truthfully...i have no clue. he had a request to send a raw one here for a customer for me to pc...i didnt ask a price.

the advantages are numerous i reckon...but its gonna take someone wiser then me to lay it all out for ya..im pooped:p

So Pappy's pooped.

at the top of the stem you'll see the 2 tubes that are parallel. The aftermarket clamp that goes with that, has rubber grommets that go down in the tubes to help reduce vibration thru the stem up into your hands and arms...:D Catch ma drift...:)

In the pic below I'm pointing at the rubber grommets..or whatever the heck ya wanna call them..:confused:

here is what i know

they come in cool colors, chrome, red, blue, etc
stronger than stock
anti - vibe on some models
the bottom bracket area comes modded on some for diff turning
you can get them in diff sizes, ex: +1 +2, for taller guys that need taller stuff

my is 1 inch taller and 1 inch forward plus the anti vibe reduces shock.

and its 4130 chromoly over steel. it doesnt bend as easy and turns a little faster than stock

why would you want a +1 fwd ?, how big of a difference does it make when riding ?

i am running pro tapers off my yz250 dirtbike, there almost straight and about 1/4-1/2 the heght of a any atv bend.

when you go +1 taller the stem is at a angle so it is gonna sitback in your lap farther, so a +12 taller and +1 forward will be taller but also stay forward more like in the stock position.

beside i am typicalley sitting on the gas tank because the big hill climbs. i am also used to ride the yz250 which pretty much kept the front wheel off the ground at all times so you HAD to sit on the tank.

i like to be forward on the bike when jumping and stuff, just more aggressive riding position. my arms are pretty long too so it just firs me right. a straighter bar will also give you more leverage to throw the bike around.

I LOVE the red one, Blue is cool for the shop you can do a red one out of the the batch thats comming.:(

Today was my first day out on the 416 with the new +1 Meszaro stem and I can already tell it's gonna help me a whole lot...:D

Just a note, The tie rod mount with no cut out was the first design, All the stems that i cut now will have the cut out. The only change might be making the cut out a "M" for MeszMoto.:macho

noone but the sponsor can give prices(or other paying advertisers) but if ya call them they will treat ya right. im not sure but you maybe able to buy it thru C&D :)
