ram 170 speedo is out

hi ive just brought a on road ram 170 ive been told it will do 65 mph but flat out its only saying 47 do you think the clock is out or could it be somthing else it has standard wheels but i need to check how many teeth the rear sproket has .can you help.

65 mph sounds a little fast for a 170 quad

hi yes ive been doing some checking ive been told they do around 50 im looking to change the gearing ive been told to put a 32 tooth rear sprocket on this will make the bike better all round lower the revs at top speed ? i will try it and see what happens.
