gearing

I have 14front and 38 rear sprockets I'm looking for more power in 5th when I'm at the dunes I can be completely reved out in 4th and shift to fifth and motor turn in to a lawn mower loosing all rpms this only happens on sand. I was wanting suggestions on what gearing i should change to?

I would try up one or two teeth in the rear sprocket.

sound like its a tld? if so youre always going to have that 4-5 gap...its geared for 1-4 and the 5th is like an afterthought.

Truth. 5th gear at the dunes is pretty much reserved for flat space. Not plaing around or hill shooting.
