plastic fender painting

I am working on a 1986 Honda Fourtrax for my fire dept. i want to paint the fenders red because they are pretty beat up and i can't get replacements. I was wondering what the best paint to use on these fenders are and is there any trick to getting the paint to stick and not flake off when plastic flexes??

Don't paint plastics it will look like crap VERY quickly

then does anybody know where i can find new plastics for a 1986 Honda Fourtrax 350? or anything that will fit mounting bolts.
