WEIRD!!! lefty kick start. i dont think i could do it! lol. my foot would feel funny kicking that thing. and right side chain. never seen honda build anything like it

A guy I used to work with at the Honda shop races Vintage Motocross. He has a '79 CR 250 Elsinore, two '81 CR 250 Elsinores, and an '82 CR 480. I have ridden the 480 and it is wicked. It's only a 4 speed, and the way the power band comes on is ridiculous.

It may be a rare bike, but that doesn't help the fact that it was known as one of the worst open class motocross bikes ever built. Minor changes to it brought about the CR480 which was a much better bike. Somebody stated it was weird to see the left hand kick, and right side drive. Until '84, nearly all the big CR's were built this way.
