I have a 300ex and want to drop money into it and one of the things I'm going to do is put a big bore kit in it

i was thinking of doing the same thing but there so damn expensive and then you have to run racing gas for alot of them

NO YOU DON'T HAVE TO RUN RACING GAS!

The need to run race fuel depends on the compression ratio of your piston. My safe level is 10:5:1, that and below is safe for pump gas. You can get away with a bit higher compression, but thats just my opinion there.

I've gotten away with running 11:1 compression with the head milled .006 and have had zero problems running it on premium. Would I try running premium on anything higher then that? The answer is no. I don't want to risk it. But to each his own.
