Same things that gain power on every other atv. Exhaust, intake, and a programmer since it is efi will get you started. After that, cams, hi comp pistons, porting, you could go on forever. Like the guy said above me More money more power.

i saw a post on a forum a while back from William Yokley's mechanic when William rode the KFX. He posted a few tricks and tips he did to the quad. One was to cut out the wire backfire screen inside the plastic cone in the air cleaner. He stated that it made the air flow easier. And it is free. I did it. No ill effects in over 2 years.

yo, i was looking for the same. because i came off a 07 yfzse. and to be honest the kfx felt like a 400ex to me. but i wanted reverse so i bought the 08kfx. and bit the bullet and boutht the yoshi rs2 full system fuel intake kit and the dynojet power commander. in fact i just took my first test drive a little while ago. and now it feels like a stock yfz which is plenty fast for me. i wasnt even hammering the thing and it came up pretty good on me and im 220#. i guess it cost me about 900.00 maybe... good luck

I also heard if you take a heat gun to the stock intake tube and open it up, it will breathe a little better. More air equals more power.:D

there is the LTR intake tube swap you can do for under $100.00

No...

They shoved the box up on the rear shock.

That is why the stock tube is a PANCAKE.

You would have to relocate the stock box and move it back... which would mean modding the plastics and such.

Fuel ATV has an intake kit that actually uses the LTR tube. Looking at that will get you started...

If you run sand or usually get rid of the boxes on your ATV's, you can just cut an adapter for the LTR tube to the throttle body tube.

Then you can put a 400EX Uni filter in the LTR tube and clamp it down.
(EX filters have a metal insert flange type)

If you need a box it is a lot more work.

Yep...

That's why I'm making my own custom setup.

I tried to let them have my ideas and produce it.

But they couldn't understand why I would want anything more than they offer.

LOL....

I think I still have 2 left.@ 299.00
