Just a question you prolly wont know the answer but its worth the shot lol. For a school project need to build a catipult well i decided on the trebuche (sp) kind of catipult i have made up my desighns and stuff and its going to be decently easy to make but here is my question you have the arm then to through the material you have the sling anyone know how to make the sling and how to attach it to make it work correctly? I think it should turn out pretty sweet if i can get the sling right cause im gonna make it decently big so i can launch some stuff after i make it and do the project. I was thinking that the arm would end up being prolly like 2-2 1/2 feet long that way after i make it i can teririze the sea gulls at my farm lol shou be interesting if i get this one part right

Any help would be great thanks

Get serious!!

This a treybuche that we made 2 yrs ago for a punkin chunkin contest for a radio station. Too bad it broke the boom, it would have chunked at least a half a mile. We used some website to calculate it all I cant remeber the site or I would give it to you. It had a 5000 pound chunk of concrete and the boom was about 70ft long.

i built one when i was a senior in high school used to launch baseballs, apples and such. we useda bag of lead shot for the counter weight. it worked great. i thing the arm was between 1.5-2 feet long.

trebuches are awesome. i've seen some shows on them before. the way x-rider did it is how ya gotta do it...those things go so far when set up right and that big.

Killed, you could nail a mouse trap to a board and somehow attatch a spoon to the metal thing that snaps the mouses tail, and shoot stuff out of that. it sure works good for shooting krutons across the cafeteria:blah
