do u need a new rod with 440 kit

I need some advice Im rebuilding my 440 ex the rod is shot, is a stock rod ok to use or do I realy need an after market one ,are they stronger or is there another reason ,any sugestions where to get an after market rod :confused:

I would recommend using a good aftermarket rod with the 440 kits they are stonger than the stock rod and will hold up to the vibration alot better.

when building a 440 do EVERYTHING RIGHT the first time!!!!!! most def get a stronger rod and you will need a new clutch and springs to handle that power
