used shock maintence [Archive]

I just picked up a set of 05 z400 shocks. To replace the pogosticks on my 03. Is there any maintence to do on them? Or should i just bolt them up?

What is involved in a service?

Disassembly of the shocks, cleaning, inspection for worn or damaged parts, new oil and nitrogen.
